Although their friendship had been cut short by his sudden departure, that doesn't mean that it was not impactful to her. Rita would say it was only impactful due to the feelings the pair had for one another, but she declined that nonsense. Rita was just a sweetheart and she loved love, she had been happily married with that man she met in the market and she just wanted such a similar pure love for Yvonne. Yvonne was flattered by her friend but she was realistic. Now the real reason Sweets' friendship was impactful was because it forced her to think about people and situations in a different light which would impact anyone. Yvonne tilted her head at him as he pushed some hair back. "Frustrated? For why?" She asked him. Eating some more of her fries she was happy the cheese was still warm and the fries crispy. She would have to come back just to enjoy the food and to not be annoyed by a certain someone. Maybe she should make Maisie take her here for the trickery she has played today. Nevertheless, this was what the two of them needed to clear there air.
Yvonne mumbled under her breath as he spoke about what he would have done if he would have known she was around. Guess he hadn't asked about her, she continued to eat some of her food. She wouldn't admit it, but she couldn't even be mad about the fact he hadn't told her. If he had just gotten back she was not the priority especially as just a friend. She was not the top priority and for some reason that was a tough pill to swallow. Why? She didn't want to be that, did she? As she took a sip of her water she cleared her thoughts. Her mind wandering was such a dangerous thing. "Okay," Was all she said softly. Yvonne wiped her face before she narrowed her eyes as he called her nickname. "That won't be necessary we can be civil. That is the point of this conversation is to clear the air," She paused before she continued. "But I am sorry for throwing a drink on you. I was just upset about the past but I-I should have handled it better. How is your life over there? Wherever you are? Family? Kids I should know about?" She asked him.
